Welcome! I’m Alexandra Tyler. If you are here, you may be considering seeing a therapist.
You may be feeling anxious, fearful, or sad. You may be haunted by painful or embarrassing memories or harassed by internal critical thoughts. You may question yourself to immobility, or worry to the point of feeling overwhelmed. You may feel you are deeply flawed, or your life is hopeless.
You may be frustrated by feeling your life has become limited by your need to avoid your fears or prevent your worries. You may know what you need to do, but just aren’t able to get yourself to do it. Or you may be overwhelmed by doing too much.
You may be struggling in your relationship. You may be talking past each other or feel you are at an impasse and no compromise seems possible. You may wonder, “How do you know when to give up and when to keep trying?”
You may know what is right, but your emotions just won’t shift or change in the direction you want. You may be frightened that your insecurities will eventually drive someone away. You may feel that no matter how hard you try, your partner(s) are just never satisfied.
I understand your pain. I’ve been there! And most importantly, because I’ve been there… I know the way out. I will be your guide in learning how to get those emotions to shift, calm the worries, face the fears, find the motivation and kindle hope. Sometimes the road is long and sometimes it’s short, and if you are willing to do the work, we can get to where you want to go.
