*Note: Neither the American Psychological Association nor the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fifth Edition (DSM 5) recognizes Sex Addiction as a diagnosis. The World Health Organization recognizes a severe form of compulsive sexual behavior as "Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder." I have come to the conclusion that "Sexual Addiction" is frequently over applied to unwanted sexual behaviors and thoughts that are more effectively treated by other means and without the addiction concept.
