--My therapeutic approach --

That’s why I am not a passive, “sounding board” kind of therapist. I get right to work helping you figure out what you want to improve.


What feelings/thoughts/behaviors do you want to change? What are the obstacles that have kept you from being able to make these changes before now?


Then, we do active work, both in session, and in homework assignments. My approach is scientifically based and I focus on building a strong, trusting, caring relationship with clients, helping to empower clients to change their environments and self concepts, and to build and utilize their strengths.

I use a variety of evidence based techniques and approaches based on the needs of the client. Some of them are:

  • Positive Psychology,

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) (as well as cognitive behavioral parenting techniques),

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR),

  • Clinical Hypnotherapy,

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT),

  • Mindfulness,

  • Imago and Non-Violent Communication techniques for relationship counseling.

I provide a supportive environment for clients in alternative sexual/relationship communities such as the LGBTQQAI+, polyamorous, kink, BDSM, swinger communities and people who do sex-work and adult film work.
